About us

With a title like Scottish Nightclub of The Year 2007/08, there’s no disputing Snafu’s credibility. Our little boutique nightspot is the premiere destination of those in-the-know. We’re unpretentious and laid back with a warm, friendly atmosphere, existing not for the masses, but instead meeting the needs of a smaller eclectic and vibrant crowd who are looking for more from their night out. Nestled at the historic Castlegate, Snafu is located away from the main drag, and so avoids the cliché crowds, creating a safe haven for the more discerning clientèle.

With an extensive range of award-winning and unique spirits, a quirky cocktail menu and delightful wine and champagne menu, Snafu questions the rule that nightclubs can’t compete with style bars when it comes to service and choice.

As you’d expect, the events programme is full to bursting with live bands, stand up comedy and of course world class DJs. Playing host to the likes of Vitalic, James Lavelle, Erol Alkan and Q-Bert, Snafu has made Aberdeen a weekend destination for many clubbers not only in Scotland but from all over the UK.

Dress Code

Some people like to dress up, some people like to dress down. So whether you're in jeans and trainers or dressed to the nines you'll get into Snafu - No trackies, no attitude.

Lost Property

We recommend that you place your bags and coats in our cloakroom. Each item costs £1. We don't have regular office hours, so if you do leave the club without an item, staff are available every night from 11pm at Snafu to assist you with lost property queries. We hold unclaimed items for approx 1 month, so do call if you lose something. In addition, lost property queries for Snafu will not be dealt with from Five.

The Carmelite Hotel

Stirling Street, Aberdeen, AB11 6JU - Tel: 01224 589101 Fax: 01224 574288

In our opinion the best hotel in Aberdeen by a country mile. Dating back to the 1820's, the hotel recently re-opened following a £2.5 million refurbishment. Award winning designers Surface designed the suites, each with a different theme. The Best, Cabanel, Japanese, Laundry, Antique and Bullnose Suites, all of which have the wow factor and ooze sex appeal. Very luxurious and surprisingly affordable. Room rates vary from £55 to £225 per night.

Nice hotel, free WI-FI is you're thinking about work, and ideal wedding venue apparently.
